About Aethos

Short Description

Aethos is a VR experience studio on the island of Crete that brings ancient Minoan civilisation to life through free-roaming virtual reality and adaptive AI characters. Visitors step into an immersive world inspired by Minoan civilization and interact with intelligent, memory-equipped Metahuman guides who respond naturally to every question and conversation.

Long Description

Founded in 2026, Aethos represents a new category of cultural experience — one that sits at the intersection of archaeological inspiration, artificial intelligence, and theatrical immersion. Unlike traditional museum exhibits or guided tours, Aethos creates living worlds where visitors are active participants rather than passive observers.

The technology behind Aethos runs entirely on local infrastructure. Speech recognition, language processing, text-to-speech, and facial animation all operate without cloud dependencies, ensuring complete privacy for visitors. AI characters are powered by local language models and feature 52-blendshape facial animation for natural expression.

Each 60-minute session accommodates up to eight visitors who can explore the palace freely, engaging with AI characters who remember their conversations and adapt their responses accordingly. At the conclusion of each visit, guests receive a unique AI-generated artwork as a personalised memento of their journey.

Aethos Announces Soft Opening of Immersive Ancient World Experience

March 2026 — Heraklion, Crete

Aethos, a new VR experience studio based in Crete, Greece, today announced the soft opening of its flagship immersive experience set in a palace inspired by Minoan civilization.

The experience combines free-roaming virtual reality with adaptive AI characters powered by local language models. Visitors interact with Metahuman guides who listen, remember, and respond naturally to conversation — creating a uniquely personal journey through one of history's most fascinating civilisations.

Sessions are 60 minutes in duration and accommodate up to eight visitors. Tickets are priced at €25 per person. The soft opening period will feature a limited number of sessions per day as the team refines the experience based on visitor feedback.
